Updated with longer geometry to accommodate even the tallest of riders, Nukeproof's engineers took the opportunity to soften the ride with a profile seat stay assembly offering more compliance without compromising the torsional stiffness of the frame under pedalling.
Paired with the new ‘Boost 148’ rear axle spacing, helping build a stronger, stiffer wheel, the acceleration of the new Scout 290 Sport has been notably improved as well as allowing additional tyre clearance for up to 2.5” tyres on 29” wheels. (Note: Can be fitted with up to 2.8” tyres on 27.5+” wheels).

The Cura is a clean, simple, and great riding brake designed to fit all riders and their bikes. The lever, designed for the human factor, is our most ergonomic and intuitive yet. With how capable mountain bikes have become at conquering any trail our caliper is proficient in taming the bike to overcome the trail.
This new era of Formula disc brakes has given us the chance to change our status quo. The Cura is Formula’s first brake to use mineral oil. Our brake performance standards have always been out of the range for the inclusion of mineral oil. We have finally found and use a mineral oil that complements the performance of our brakes.
The Formula Cura has been designed from top to bottom with riders in mind. In our laboratory, and on the race track, we have confirmed that the Cura is an extremely powerful, wide range brake that feels comfortable from weekend warriors and Enduro riders to World Cup Downhill racers. We believe that brakes are one of the most personal and intimate parts of the bike, this is why we have simplicity and efficiency in mind when we design it.

The MixMaster handlebar clamp is an option for all Formula brakes. This simple upgrade allows for the direct attachment of Shimano (I-Spec B only) and SRAM shifters on your Formula brake, giving the bike a clean look. Perfect to help de-clutter handlebars busy with the many clamps today’s bikes employ.
Speed Lock technology allows for the disconnection and connection of the hose multiple times without losing fluid or introducing air into the brake. The Speed Lock hose is the best option for internally routed frames, the traveler who packs their bike, or anyone who is constantly assembling/disassembling their bike.
We are proud to introduce our new disc. After more than three years of development we have arrived at a design that combines the best of all the "must have" features in a disc: extreme lateral stiffness that guarantees impact resistance by protecting the disk from unwanted damage; reduced unwanted noise caused by friction; a special anti-noise design which reduces the risk of resonance and vibrations; reduced pad wear.
| The Nukeproof Horizon Carbon Riser Bar was developed to be lightweight and comfortable, while far exceeding the strength and durability of an aluminium bar. In fact, the Horizon carbon bar far exceeds the strength of many leading carbon bar competitors in laboratory testing, withstanding loads of over 700kg.
High Strength and Damping
This strength is due to the Nukeproof proprietary carbon layup and the addition of a unique layer of glass fibre for additional damping and reinforcement. Safety was the primary objective, in addition to providing the great ride quality only a high-end carbon bar can. Further safety is provided by the no-slip particle paint applied to the controls and stem mounting areas. Nukeproof are so confident in their Horizon carbon bar that they back it up with a lifetime warranty!
